The transition to the new Freelance distributed control system (DCS) in Réunion factories has been taking place gradually over several years. Maintenance of the Modumat systems that are still in operation is no longer provided by the manufacturer and has been entrusted to eRcane’s Industrial Automation and Electronics department.
Assessment, cleaning and replacement of defective parts are carried out in eRcane’s workshops and the modules are subsequently tested.
eRcane has substantial expertise in this area and Réunion factories and other users also call upon the company to maintain and repair their modules, including: the Gardel sugar mill and Moule thermal power plant (Guadeloupe), Compagnie Sucrière Sénégalaise, Industries Chimiques du Sénégal, and the Tay Ninh sugar mill (Vietnam).
